Austin Freestyle
Austin, Texas is home to a vibrant freestyle disc community. Many world champions, new and old alike, have sprung from the Zilker jam scene. Austin is a historic site in the history of freestyle disc. In the 1980s, many legendary tournaments were held here, including a Freestyle Players Association World Championship in 1982.
The Austin freestyle community has since seen a resurgence of popularity. Freestyle jams can be found almost everyday in Zilker park, all year round. The Saturday morning, west-side jam session has become a tradition. All levels of experience are represented and new players are always welcome.
Starting on January 12, 2013, Austin will begin hosting a yearly Winter Series Tournament, featuring competitive freestyle and Double Disc Court.
